Abstract artist Lisa Burke believes in staying a child at heart but regularly finds her head fights against this concept.

Working predominantly in acrylic, though also enjoying mixed media whilst not turning her back on her photographic background, Burke’s work is about trying to capture ephemeral moments in contained permanent states.

Having dedicated her higher education years to the study of fine art photography Burke found her work drifting further and further away from the photographic process and transferred her appreciation of composition, light and texture into painted work.
